Vintage & Collectible Auctions in Georgia

A Different Kind of Georgia Auction House

Rockabilly is not a general liquidation company, and that has never really been our lane.

Our auctions are built around vintage collectibles and memorabilia. One sale might include a group of old porcelain advertising signs, while another could feature gas pumps, neon, soda advertising, jukeboxes, railroad pieces, or a collection that has been put together over several decades.

That variety is a big part of the appeal.

Collectors often come across familiar names and categories, but there is usually something in the catalog that they have not seen before.

Our Hartwell location gives bidders in Georgia the option to attend in person, while online bidding makes it possible to take part without making the trip.

What Shows Up in a Rockabilly Auction?

It changes from auction to auction.

We do not have a fixed inventory, and that is exactly what makes collectible auctions interesting. What comes through the door depends on the collections and individual pieces that are available at the time.

You may see:

Some auctions lean heavily toward advertising. Others may have a stronger mix of petroliana, Americana, or mechanical collectibles. The catalog is worth checking each time because no two sales are quite the same.

Live Auctions in Hartwell, With Online Bidding Available

For people who enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional auction, Rockabilly holds live sales at our gallery in Hartwell, Georgia.

There is something different about seeing an item in person, watching the room react, and bidding live. For many longtime collectors, that is still the preferred way to buy.

Of course, not everyone can make it to Northeast Georgia for every sale. Online bidding is available for many of our auctions, and depending on the sale, absentee and phone bidding may also be available. That gives collectors outside Hartwell a practical way to participate without being in the room.

Bidding details can vary from one auction to another, so it is always worth reviewing the information provided with the current sale before placing a bid.

More Than Just Another Auction

Rockabilly has been holding collectible auctions since 2007. Over the years, that has meant handling a wide range of pieces, from small advertising items to large signs, gas pumps, machines, and collections that took years to build.

The common thread is that the items tend to have some history, some visual interest, or a strong connection to the past. That is also why our audience is a little different from what you might find at a general estate or household auction. Many of the people following Rockabilly are collectors who know the categories well and are looking for specific pieces.

Others are just getting started and discover something in a catalog that catches their eye. Both are welcome.

Selling a Collection in Georgia?

Buying is only one side of the auction business. Rockabilly also works with collectors, families, estates, and individual owners who have vintage items they are considering selling.

Sometimes that means one important piece. Other times it may be an entire collection that has been built over many years.

We are particularly interested in quality examples of vintage advertising, petroliana, automobilia, Americana, country store memorabilia, coin-operated machines, jukeboxes, gas pumps, signs, and related collectibles.

If you are unsure whether what you have is a fit for an upcoming auction, that is perfectly fine. The first step is simply getting in touch and telling us a little about the items.
